Spring in DC!

Spring is here and so are the cherry blossoms. We went down to the tidal basin to see the spectacle yesterday along with throngs of other people. The blossoms will be at peak next weekend - if we go down next weekend, it will probably be early in the morning.

The Jefferson Memorial across the Tidal Basin:
The Washington Monument across the Tidal Basin from the other side:

Wow, look at the size of that cherry blossom! (37 weeks 3 days)
I am grateful to be having a spring baby. We will be able to get out right away, enjoy the nice weather, and introduce the baby to the world! I am also actually starting to feel ready (mentally) for the baby to come - I am so excited to meet him or her!

Our neighborhood market and cherry trees:

I really feel lucky to live in a great city neighborhood with this outdoor farmers market every weekend.

Amy you look wonderful! Spring on the Hill is so amazing, its just the tourists who don't know how to use the metro that are annoying, and then they are followed up by new interns who can't walk in heels, if you can, the FDR memorial is beautiful this time of year, especially at sunset!
