Preparing for the Blizzard... and Dreaming of the Beach
We are back in DC, preparing for the second big blizzard of the season. We are supposed to get up to 28 inches overnight tonight, the snow has started already!
We got home on Tuesday night (welcomed by a few inches of fresh snow). Our final few days in the Virgin Islands were great - the sailing trip was fun and I did not get sick. There was a quite a swell when we were crossing between the islands, but I felt fine by staying in the ocean breeze.
Here we all are in the golf cart. I was driving, that is why I was not looking at the camera. It was fun to drive around in the golf cart everywhere on the island!
The sailing day - out on the water. We sailed over to St. John to a beach which can be reached only by hiking or by boat.
And finally, a picture from our last ferry ride away from Water Island, what a sad, sad day...

It sounds and looks like you had a great time. 28 inches of snow is a nice topper to a tropical vacation, don't you think?
If you get any good photos of the snowstorm, post them. It will be quite a contrast to the previous photos posted :)
Wow! Seems like forever ago that we were seeing Water Island for the first time. Nice reminder to see your documentation that we were there!
