Weekend Visitors

Nan and Pop visited this weekend, we had a good time. They got to see one of Baby-O's favorite new passtimes - standing up!
And we played with finger puppets...



He sure is getting big. In the past few weeks Baby-O has really filled out, he just keeps on growing and growing.

Trip to PA

The first weekend in August we made the trip up to PA for Baby-O's baptism and to attend a family reunion on my Mom's side (more specifically on my Mom's father's side). It was a great trip, the baby and I took the train to Philadelphia where Grandpa picked us up, and Tom came up a couple days later. My sister in law Peggy and niece Gretchen made it out for the festivities also, and it was wonderful to see everyone. I even got to meet relative I had heard of, but never actually met before.

Here is Baby-O in the adorable outfit his Grandma made for him, is he precious or what?


The whole weekend was busy, busy, busy! My Mom hosted a brunch after the christening, before the reunion, and we had about 10 people back to the house on Sunday evening after the reunion. It was a good time, and Baby-O loved all of the attenion.

New Tricks

This one is a little blurry, but you can see the new bubble trick he is doing with his lips! He seems to particularly enjoy this bubble blowing when he is on the changing table.

And, he has had the thumb-only down for about two weeks, but now I have it on film.


I need to video him when he is chattery - he does it all the time, until I get the camera out, then he stops

Quick Update

We had Baby-O for his four month check up last week. The official stats: 12lbs 15oz and 25 incehs. Unfortunately I forgot the paper with the percentiles, but at least I remember the numbers.

I have a bit of catching up to do - time is short after work in the evening! We had a great trip to PA two weekend ago and two nice slow weekends since then. The weather has even cooled a bit (temporarily).

Congrats to Niki on the new arrival! Will is a little cutie - I never saw mine when he was that small (Will weighed in at 5lbs 15oz at birth). Anyway, Congrats to Niki and Chad - hope you are getting some sleep!

So, I will get the full update posted; hopefully later on this evening, but just in case that does not happen here is a (slightly disturbing) shot of him in his cousin Gretchen's wig.

Riding High

Hello up there!

Just the three of us...

After many weeks of visitors, wonderful help from family taking care of Baby-O, and a mini-vacation we are back to just our family of three. It is hard to believe that I have been back to work for a month already. We are so grateful to Nan, Grandma and Grandpa for being here to spend time with the baby. It made it much easier to go back to work knowing that he was with family. You are all welcome back anytime you need a baby fix!

Yesterday was his first day at daycare. He did great, but he did not nap and ate more often thannormal. The ladies at daycare assured me that it is normal for babies to take some time to adjust to the new environment.

So, here is the rundown of the past few weeks. I don't have as many pictures as I wish, but the evening seem to fly by when I get home from work:

Pop was able to come down for July 4th weekend in between Nan's two weeks:


When Nan left, Gramdma came with Aunt Jennifer and cousin Jenna. Katelyn stayed home because she made the All-Stars team for softball. Way to go Katelyn!

After a week with Grandma, we packed up the car and headed to Long Beach Island for a long weekend. Adam and Jen were in town with Jaxi and baby Griffin in tow.. It was great to see them. Nan and Pop also came down for a Sunday brunch at Barnegat Light:



We also had a big moment. Baby-O grabbed and held his rattle!


When we got home, Gramdpa was here to stay for the rest of the week. Baby-O loved spending time with Grandpa.

We had another big moment yesterday - he rolled from his back to his belly unassisted! He did it again this morning, too. My guy is growing up fast!
